ORD-16- 1825 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL OF NON-FUNCTIONAL INVENTORY PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF MCHENRY WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, is a home rule municipality as contemplated under Article VII, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the passage of this Ordinance constitutes an exercise of the City's home rule powers and functions as granted in the Constitution of the State of Illinois; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the City of McHenry to retain ownership of the property identified and described in SECTION 1 of this Ordinance; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of McHenry find that the property described below is no longer necessary to the function of said jurisdiction: Three (3) Xybix composite wood communications dispatch stations, with adjustable legs. One (1) Xybix composite wood lazy Susan two (2) shelf file unit. SECTION 2: The City Council directs, by a minimum of three-quarters majority, that the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of said property. SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the corporate authorities. PASSED and APPROVED this 19th day of DECEMBER 2016.
