RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SILVER CREEK AND SLEEPY
HOLLOW CREEK WATERSHED ACTION PLAN
WHEREAS, the Silver Creek and Sleepy Hollow Creek Watershed Plan was developed in a
collaborative manner with diverse stakeholder input; and
WHEREAS, stewardship of watershed resources including water quality is important to the
prosperity of residents and landowners of the City of McHenry and elsewhere in McHenry
County; and
WHEREAS, the Silver Creek and Sleepy Hollow Creek Plan offers reasoned guidance to
urban and rural landowners and decision -makers alike for conserving the land, soil, and
water resources of Silver Creek and Sleepy Hollow Creek Watershed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of McHenry supports a collective
effort to implement the projects and policies recommended in the Silver Creek and Sleepy
Hollow Creek Watershed Plan.
