RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTINUATION OF
THE MCHENRY COUNTY MUNICIPAL RISK MANAGEMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the McHenry County Municipal Risk Management Agency (McMRMA) is a
governmental self-insurance pool, formed pursuant to Article VII §10 of the Illinois Constitution, and the
Illinois Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, 51LCS §2201/1 et. Seq., and governed according to an
intergovernmental agreement, hereinafter referred to as the "Contract and Bylaws;" and
WHEREAS, as of the end of its current fiscal year, ending June 30, 2012, McMRMA will have
been in existence for twenty-four (24) years, which will end its second twelve-year term, during which it
has provided protected collective self-insurance for the governmental entities which have been members
of McMRMA; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry is a Member of McMRMA, and wishes to continue
McMRMA's existence; and
WHEREAS, the passage of this resolution does not in any way restrict the ability of the City of
McHenry to withdraw from McMRMA at the end of any McMRMA fiscal year upon the furnishing of
one year's notice pursuant to the terms of the Contract and Bylaws.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City of McHenry as follows:
SECTION 1. McMRMA, of which the City of McHenry is a Member, at the conclusion of the
current fiscal year, ending June 30, 2012, shall continue in existence under the terms of its Contract and
Bylaws.
SECTION 2: The Contract and Bylaws of McMRMA shall continue to constitute the
intergovernmental agreement between the City of McHenry and the other Members of McMRMA.
SECTION 3: This resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage.
