AN ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, on March 3, 1990, the McHenry City Council passed
Ordinance No. 0-90-527 which granted a Conditional Use on the property
commonly known as 4310 W. Elm Street for the operation of a family
entertainment center, known as "The Spot"; and
WHEREAS, on May 2, 1990 the City Council passed Ordinance No.
0-90-538 which, in part, set forth the. closing hours of operation at
12:00 midnight Sunday through Thursday and on Friday and Saturday nights
at 1:00 A.M.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
McHENRY, McHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1. That the closing hours during School Spring break,
Christmas vacation and Summer vacation be extended to 1:00 A.M. from
Sunday through Thursday and to 2:00 A.M. on Friday and Saturday nights,
provided that should any complaints to the Mayor be made because of the
extended hours, the owner, upon being informed by the Mayor of these
complaints, shall immediately revert to the former closing hours as
stated in Ordinance #0-90-538.
SECTION 2. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict with the
terms and provisions hereof, be and the same are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by
and under the authority of the corporate authorities of the City of
McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication, as probided by law.
