AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN NUMBERING SEQUENCES OF THE
ORDINANCE REGULATING TRAFFIC AND MOTOR VEHICLES
IN THE CITY OF MCHENRY
WHEREAS, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of McHenry County has
requested that certain numbering sequences of the City of McHenry's
Ordinance Regulating Traffic & Motor Vehicles (Chapter 13 of the
Municipal Code), be amended to conform to the numbering system of the
State of Illinois Vehicle Code in order to avoid reporting errors and
inconsistencies to the Secretary of State's office upon convictions of
traffic violations; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry does hereby find that it would be in the
best interests of the City to comply and conform to the numbering system
of the State of Illinois Vehicle Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, ILLINOIS, as follows:
SECTION 1: That the following Section numbers of Chapter 13
of the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry, commonly known as the
Ordinance Regulating Traffic & Motor Vehicles, are hereby amended
to read as follows:

Section number 13-401 et seq. shall be RESERVED AND
NOT USED unless the City passes an ordinance
corresponding with its counter part in the Illinois
Vehicle Code referring to motor vehicle accidents
involving death or personal injury, property damage
and the duty to give information and render aid, as
these topics are not now regulated in the City's
current ordinance.
SECTION 2. All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict with the
terms and provisions hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by
and under the authority of the corporate authorities of the City of
McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication, as provided by law.
