Amending Section 446(b) of Municipal Code Chapter 4, Alcoholic Liquor
Increasing the Number of Class "A" Liquor Licenses in Effect from
Seventeen (17) to Eighteen (18).
WHEREAS, the City V %AOf nry, McHenry County, Illinois, is ahomerulemunicipality
as contemplated under Article VII, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the
passage of this Ordinance constitutes an exercise of the City's home rule powers and functions as
granted in the Constitution of the State of Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED bythe City Council ofthe City ofMcHenry,
McHenry County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: Section 4-6(b) of the Municipal Code relating to liquor license
classifications, shall be amended as follows.
(b) Class B ("Table Service" license. Issuance of a Class B licenses shall authorize the sale
of Alcoholic liquor, for consumption on the premises only and all sales, service, and consumption
of Alcoholic liquor shall only be at tables. No bar sales shall be permitted. The annual fee for a
Class B license shall be $800. No more than 18 Class B licenses shall be in force in the City at
any time.
SECTION 2: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, sentence or provision ofthis
Ordinance shall be adjudged by any Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment
;hall not effect, impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof, which remainder shall remain and
continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 3 : All ordinances, or parts thereof, in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to
the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the
authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, Illinois.
SECTION C. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval and publication, as provided by law.
