R-99-006
WHEREAS, the McHenry City Council at its March 17, 1999 regularly scheduled
Council Meeting voted unanimously to support the extension of sanitary sewer service
from the City of McHenry to the Village of McCullom Lake; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of extension of the sanitary sewer service to the Village
of McCullom Lake is three million dollars ($3,000,000); and
WHEREAS, the Village of McCullom Lake is making application for a $50,000 grant
from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency to assist with the funding for the
proposed extension of sanitary sewer service to its boundary; and
WHEREAS, the successful application for said grant monies would benefit both the
City of McHenry and the Village of McCullom Lake.
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry has expended funds, time, and energy in an effort to
clean up McCullom Lake and its environs, and the extension of the sanitary sewer
service to the Village of McCullom Lake would assist in the preservation of this clean
lake.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the McHenry City Council go on record
in support of the Village of McCullom Lake's application for grant monies in the
amount of $50,000 from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be presented to the
President of the Village of McCullom Lake for inclusion in the grant application
documentation.
