RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry Parks and Recreation Committee believes in the, purchase and
maintenance of open space for the enjoyment of the City of McHenry residents; and
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry obtains monies from land developers for the purpose of securing
park lands and improvement of part: facilities in the City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, the monies collected are authorized by City Ordinance as Parks and Recreation
Developer Donation Fees; and
WHEREAS, the McHenry Parks and Recreation Committee and the McHenry Finance Committee
support the plans for purchase, engineering, construction, equipping, and maintenance of a City of McHenry
Recreational Facility; and
WHEREAS, the McHenry Parks and Recreation Committee and the McHenry Finance Committee at
a joint meeting held on February 10, 1999, unanimously approved the allocation of Parks and Recreation
Developer Donation Revenues as follows:
Fifty percent (50%) to a Recreational Facility Fund Account
Fifty percent (50%) to the Parks Developer Donations Fund Account; and
WHEREAS, the McHenry Parks and Recreation Committee and the McHenry Finance Committee
approved the disbursement of the Parks and Recreation Developer Donation Revenues semi-annually on
April 30th and October 31st each year, effective April 30, 1998.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Council of the City of McHenry,
Illinois that the Mayor and City Council of the City of McHenry hereby go on record approving the
recommendation of the joint Parks and Recreation Committee and Finance Committee.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Parks and Recreation Developer Donation Revenues collected
through the office of the City Clerk shall hereby be disbursed as follows:
Fifty percent (50%) to a Recreational Facility Fund Account
Fifty percent (50%) to the Parks Developer Donations Fund Account.
