AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PROPERTY
ADDRESSES COMMONLY KNOWN AS 222 S. MCHENRY AVENUE AND
400 S. MCHENRY AVENUE (PIN# 14-01-151-022)
IN THE CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, an Illinois Municipal Corporation in the State of
Illinois ("City"), McHenry County, Illinois, is a home'rule municipality as contemplated under
Article VII, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the passage of this
Ordinance constitutes an exercise of the City's home rule powers and functions as granted in the
Constitution of the State of Illinois;
WHEREAS, South Wastewater Treatment Plant and Salt Storage Facility with the PIN
number of 14-01-151-022 have addresses of 222 S. McHenry Avenue and 400 S. McHenry
Avenue, respectively; and
WHEREAS, as a result of the Charles J. Miller Road Improvements of 2013/14, the
entrance for said locations was reconfigured from McHenry Avenue to Charles J. Miller Road;
and
WHEREAS, due to the new configuration of the road and for expediency, the City of
McHenry is recommending that said property addresses be changed from 222 S McHenry
Avenue (Wastewater Treatment Plant) and 400 S McHenry Avenue (Salt Storage Facility) to
3200 W. Charles J. Miller Road; and
WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the City of McHenry are required to initiate all
such address changes;
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposed address change and has no
objections.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the address for the South Wastewater Treatment Plant (222 S
McHenry Avenue) and Salt Storage Facility (400 S McHenry Avenue) with the PIN # 14-01-
151-022 hereinafter are changed to 3200 W. Charles J. Miller Road.
SECTION 2: Notice of such address change shall be made to the McHenry Post Office
by certified mail.
SECTION 3: All ordinances of parts thereof in conflict with the terms and provisions
hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the
authority of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage,
approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
SECTION 6: A certified copy of this ordinance shall be recorded with the McHenry
County Recorder of Deeds office.
