WHEREAS, a written
petition, signed by the sole
owners of record of all land
within the territory hereinafter described, being identified as Elizabeth L. Doherty,
("Petitioner"), has been filed with the City Clerk requesting that said territory be annexed to the
City of McHenry; and
WHEREAS, said territory is not within the corporate limits of any municipality, other
than the County of McHenry, and is contiguous to the corporate boundaries of the City of
McHenry; and
WHEREAS, all petitions, documents and other necessary legal requirements are in full
compliance with the statutes of the State of Illinois, specifically 65 ILCS 5/7-1-1, et seq.; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of McHenry that said territory be
annexed thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF
MCHENRY, McHenry County, Illinois, as follows:
SECTION 1: The territory legally described on the attached Exhibit A ("Property) is
hereby annexed to the City of McHenry.
SECTION 2: Pursuant to Article Ill-General District Regulations, Section D of the City's
Municipal Code, immediately upon annexation, the Property being approximately 8,015 square
feet in size is hereby classified RS-4 High-Density Single-Family Residential District.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk is directed to record in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds
and to file in the Office of the County Clerk of McHenry County, Illinois, and the post office
serving the Property within 30 days of the effective date of this Ordinance, a certified copy of this
Ordinance, together with a Plat of Annexation of the Property hereby annexed.
SECTION 3: If any section, paragraph, subdivision, clause, sentence or provision of this
Ordinance shall be adjudged by any Court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, such judgment
shall not affect, impair, invalidate or nullify the remainder thereof, which remainder shall remain
and continue in full force and effect.
SECTION 4: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 5: This Ordinance shall be known as Ordinance ORD-15-1724 and shall be in
full force and effect upon its passage, approval and publication in pamphlet form (which
publication is hereby authorized) as provided by law.

property commonly known as 1110 N. River Road, McHenry IL, 60051 recorded as Document
No. 2015R0016118 and Ordinance No. ORD-15-1724 as Document No. 2015R0016117.
This certificate of correction is given to correct a scrivener's error in the legal description shown
on the plat and attached to the ordinance.
The following exception should be added to the second parcel to be annexed:
Excepting therefrom that part lying Easterly of the Southerly extension of the East line of Lot
8 in said Block 10.
The legal description of the property to be annexed in its entirety is attached as Exhibit A.

Lots 7 and 8 in Block 10 in Original Plat of McHenry, East of Fox River, in the Southeast Quarter of
Section 26, Township 45 North, Range 8 East of the Third Principal Meridian, according to the plat
thereof recorded in Book B of Deeds, page 160, in McHenry County, Illinois.

be annexed into the City of McHenry:
