AN ORDINANCE AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF
MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 49 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, AND
CHAPTER 9 DEVICES, COIN -OPERATED
WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, is a home rule municipality
as contemplated under Article VII, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the
passage of this Ordinance constitutes an exercise of the City's home rule powers and functions as
granted in the Constitution of the State of Illinois.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF
MCHENRY, McHenry County, Illinois as follows:
SECTION 1: Sec. 4-8 Disposition of Fees is hereby amended to change the title to read,
"Apportionment and Disposition of Fees," and by adding the following sentence to the beginning
of Section 4-8: "All license fees paid between January 1 and April 30 shall be reduced by 50%."
SECTION 2: Sec. 9-10(C) Annual License Fee is hereby amended by adding the
Following sentence to the end of Sec. 9-10(C): "All license fees paid between January 1 and
April 30 shall be reduced by 50%.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the terms and
provisions herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the
authority of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 5: Due to its importance and economic significance to the community, this
Ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately after its passage, approval, and
publication, as provided by law.
