RESOLUTION TO APPROVE IMRF RESOLUTION 6.64
DECLARING THE CITY CLERK'S NON -ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE IN BMW
WHEREAS, in 1994 the McHenry City Council, recognizing the fulltime status of the City
Clerk and deeming her participation in the City's Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund to be a benefit
due her; and
WHEREAS, the City Council subsequently filed resolution 6.64 with the State of Illinois
Municipal Retirement Found providing for the City Clerk's participation in the Illinois Municipal
Retirement Fund; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of McHenry, in 2004 by Ordinance No MC404-860,
effective on May 1, 2005 following the 2005 Consolidated Election, amended the duties and
responsibilities of the City Clerk, thereby reducing it to a part time position requiring less than 1,000
hours worked per calendar year, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed that since the City Clerk no longer holds a f illtime
position in the City of McHenry is therefore no longer eligible to participate in the Illinois Municipal
Retirement Fund, effective May 1, 2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the City Council of the City of McHenry deems as
the City Clerk no longer holds a fulkime position and is therefore no longer eligible to participate in
1MRF, it hereby passes and approves 1MRF Resolution 6.64 removing the McHenry City Clerk from
eligibility and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
BE 1T FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and directed to file a duly
certified copy of this resolution with the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
