ORD-15-1711 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE RENAMING OF 811 JOHN STREET TO 3210 GOLFVIEW ROAD, MCHENRY ILLINOIS, COUNTY OF MCHENRY WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, is a home rule municipality as contemplated under Article VII, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the passage of this Ordinance constitutes an exercise of the City's home rule powers and functions as granted in the Constitution of the State of Illinois; and WHEREAS, Lot 17, PIN # 09-35-276-003 and Lot 18, PIN # 09-35-276-002 located in the McHenry Golf Course Subdivision is assigned the property address of 811 John Street; and WHEREAS, the property owner has secured a building permit for extensive restoration to the home changing the orientation and focal point of the home from John Street to Golfview Road; and for safety and convenience purposes, the property owner of Lot 17 and 18 is requesting the use of 3210 Golfview Road instead of 811 John Street; and WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the proposed property address change and has no objections to amend said property address to change from 811 John Street to 3210 Golfview Road. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the address for Lot 17 and Lot 18 located in the McHenry Golf Course Subdivision be hereinafter changed from 811 John Street to 3210 Golfview Road. SECTION 2: The notice of such amendment shall be made to the McHenry County Clerk, McHenry Postmaster, McHenry Township Assessor, and McHenry Utility Billing Department. SECTION 3: All ordinances and parts thereof in conflict with the terms and provisions hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict. SECTION 5: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law. Approved this 16th day of March 2015.
