HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances - ORD-11-1554 - 09/12/2011 - DONATE SURPLUS PROP TO WOODSTOCKORD-11-1554 ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF MCHENRY WHEREAS, the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois, is a home rule municipality as contemplated under Article VII, Section 6, of the Constitution of the State of Illinois, and the passage of this Ordinance constitutes an exercise of the City's home rule powers and functions as granted in the Constitution of the State of Illinois. WHEREAS, it is in the opinion of the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry that it is no longer necessary or useful to or for the best interests of the City of McHenry to retain ownership of surplus property; and WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Mayor and City Council of the City of McHenry to donate said surplus propeny to the City of Woodstock. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MCHENRY AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That the Mayor and City Council of the City of McHemy find diat the surplus property described Mow is no longer useful to the City and shall be donated to the City of Woodstock: One Dell Power Edge 2850 Rack Server Serial No 57KFY61. SECTION 2: That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to donate to the City of Woodstock the above -referenced surplus property. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage by the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry.
