AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE NO.ORD-07-1374, GRANTING A USE
VARIANCE TO ALLOW CERTAIN NON -OFFICE USES IN THE 0-1 LOCAL OFFICE
DISTRICT AT 3601-3637 MUNICIPAL DRIVE IN THE CITY OF MCHENRY,
MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS
WHEREAS, ORD NO. 1374, An Ordinance granting a Use Variance to allow certain Non -Office
Uses in the 0-1 Local Office District at 3601-3637 Municipal Drive, in the City of McHenry, McHenry
County, Illinois was approved by the City Council on April 16, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered the evidence and recommendation and finds that the
approval of the requested amendment to allow an additional wall sign for the tenant space at 3617
Municipal Drive is consistent with the objectives of the City of McHenry Zoning Ordinance to protect the
public health, safety, morals and general welfare of its residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That ORD-07-1374 is hereby amended to allow the tenant at 3617 Municipal Drive
to have two wall signs subject to the conditions that the gross area of each sign shall not exceed 20.16
square feet and the sign on the south elevation of the tenant space shall be a backlit sign on a raceway and
the sign on the east elevation shall be a standard lettered sign on a panel which is not backlit.
SECTION 2: All Ordinances or parts thereof in conflict with the terms and provisions hereof are
hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the authority of
the corporate authorities of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval,
and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.
