AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF
A PORTION OF DRAPER ROAD TO OLD DRAPER ROAD
IN THE CITY OF MCHENRY
WHEREAS, as part of the development of Legend Lakes (formerly Shamrock Farms)
subdivision, the City required the developer to make several road improvements in the vicinity of
Draper Road and Curran Road; and
WHEREAS, with the completion of these improvements and the vacation of a portion of
Draper Road, the City is proposing to rename portions of Draper Road in order to provide an
fluid and consistent street name pattern for emergency services and the like; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has considered renaming a portion of Draper Road to Old
Draper Road and has no objections to the name change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MCHENRY, MCHENRY COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: That the portion of Draper Road north of the Legend Lakes (formerly
Shamrock Farms) Subdivision and south of the Woodcreek Subdivision shall be renamed Old
Draper Road.
SECTION 2: All ordinances of parts thereof in conflict with the terms and provisions
hereof are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 3: This Ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form by and under the
authority of the Corporate Authorities of the City of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect sixty (60) days from and
after its passage, approval, and publication in pamphlet form as provided by law.

SECTION 5: A certified copy of this ordinance shall be recorded with the McHenry
County Recorder of Deeds office.
