The City Council met in regular Monthly meeting with Mayor Doherty . presiding.Aldermen present:Buss.Fervvrerda.Fre,_ind.Justen.Kreutzer. Overton.Ab sent: none . Motion by Kreutzer,seconded by Freund, that the minutes of the pre- vious regular meeting be approved as read.Motion carried.. Motion by Overton, seconded by Buss, that the Treasurers report be � approved as read showing a balance of $5,398.53.1-otion carried.. Motion by Ferwerda,seconded by Justen, that the Collectors report be accepted as read-Motion carried. Motion by Justen, seconded by Overton, thk,t the Cler1-s Peport be accepted as read,Motion carried. Motion by Ferwerda,s-econded by Overton, that the folloning bills be paid as read and approved by the finance committee -Motion carried. Members of the- Public Grade School Board appeared before the City Council and dubmitted a request that the City help to build a retain- ing wall at the foot of the hill near- the- City Hall.After consider able~ discussion of the matter,Alderm-an Buss moved and it was seconded by Kreutzer-,.that the. City pay III7,.5O for material to huild the walls and the work to be done by W P A labor-.Upon roll call Buss,Freund= and Kroutzer- voted yea.Ferwerda,,Justen and Overton voted present . there was no deciding vote-. r A_ motion was then made by Buss,-seconded by Kreutzer, to reconsider the foregoing motion.Upon roll call Buss-,Freund and Kreutzer voted yes.Ferwerda.,.J usten and 0vert.on voted present.-There was still no deciding: vote. A motion was then- made by Kreutzer,seconded by Buss,_to. leave the matter in the hands of the Public Property committee for- disposal.. Upon roll call the Alderme-n all voted aye�nay;none,and the motion vase declared duly carried.. Motion by Justen,-Seconded by Kreutzer-,to pay to the American Nat- ional Bank & Trust Co $ I50.1_0 Interest an Funding Bond issue►The Aldermen all voted aye"lay; nons.The motion was thereupon declared duly carried. Notion by Overton,seconded by Freund,to authorize the Clerk to draw a check for- 4 75.00 for the City Ia Sewer service for the past threat 1ionths..The Aldermen all- voted ayetRay; none.The motion was declared. carried..
