FEBRUARY 7TH, 1938
The City Council met in regular monthly meeting
with Mayor Overton preAling. Aldermen present : Bolger,
Buss, Freund, Kreutze ^. Absent : Ferwerda
111 Motion by Buss , seconded by Kreutzer, that the
minutes of the previous meeting be approved as read. Motion
carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Kreutzer, that
the minutes of the Special Meeting, held January 10th, be
approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Buss, that the
treasurer 's report be approved as read. Motion carried.

Motion by Kreutzer, seconded by Regner, that
the collector 's report be approved as read. Motion carried .
Motion by Buss , seconded by Bolger, that the
clerk 's report be approved as read . Motion carried. .
Motion by Buss, seconded by Bolger, to pay
Public Service bill of $158.18, dated September 1st, 1937,
less $25 .00 taken as allowance for lapse in service on
street lighting. 1? Motion by Kreutzer, seconded by Regner to
approve bills paid by O.K. of Finance Committee prior to meeting.
Motion by Kreutzer, seconded by Regner,that
the following bills be paid as approved by the finance
committee . Motion carried.-

Motion by Freund, seconded by Regner, to adopt
resolution to abandon the following street location as an
Arterial Street : Beginning at Crescent Avenue and extending
along John Street to Charlotte Avenue: thence Easterly along
Charlotte Avenue, to thef t Cororate Limits, now known as
Arterial Street No. 5 .
Motion by Kreutzer, seconded by Buss , to adopt
resolution designating the following described as an Arterial
Street : Beginning at John Street and extending along Crescent
Avenue in an Easterly direction to the East Corporate Limits .
To be known as Arterial Street No. 5 . i GAY
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Freund , to accept
Public Service Company of Northern Illinois contract for
street lighting. Term of contract to be five years. Motion
carried.
Motion by Buss, seconded by Kreutzer , to adjourn.
