AUGUST 1ST, 1938
The City Council met in regular monthly meeting
with Mayor Overton presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger,
Buss, Ferwerda, Freund, Kreutzer, Regner. Absent: None.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Freund, that the
10 minutes of the regular meeting held July 5th and the minutes
of the special meetings held July llth, July 15th, and July
25th, be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Kreutzer, that
the Treasurer's report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Regner, that the
Collector 's report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Kreutzer, seconded by Bolger, that
the Clerk's report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Kreutzer, seconded by Regner,that the
following bills be ppid as approved by the finance committee.

Motion by Freund, seconded by Bolger, to renew
compensation insurance with The Iowa Mutual Liability
Insurance Company and pay the estimated premium of $15O.0O.` .
Motion carried.
Motion by Buss, seconded by Regner, to have the
City Attorney send letter to Illinois State Highway Department
regarding flood water on property adjacent to State Highway
number 31 in the south portion of McHenry. Motion carried.
1 Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Freund, to accept
new Public Service contract calling for rate reduction, for
term of three (3) years. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Buss, to pass resolution
as read, designating West McHenry State Bank as depository for
funds of Robert L. Weber, City Treasurer. Motion carried.
Mot on by Kreutzer, seconded by Regner, to adjourn.
