Aldermen present : Bolger, Buss, Ferwerda, Freund, Nye and Regner. Absent: None. II0 Motion by Nye, seconded by Buss, that the minutes of the Annual meeting and the Special meeting held April 28th, be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Freund that the Treasurer' s report be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Regner, seconded by Bolger that the Clerk' s report be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Nye that the following bills be paid as approved by the finance committee : D.I. Granger Labor painting hydrants 9,4,6131e1.04( $13.25" Charles Miller Truck for clean-up week 22.50 ." Wm. Stoffel & Reihansperger Fire truck insurance 50.45 & Wattles Drug Store Fumigating supplies 11.94210 k John Stilling Gas , storage of truck Motion by Buss, seconded by Ferwerda, to hire a supervisor for the public bathing beach during the months of June , July and August. Cost not to exceed $40.00 per month. Motion carried. The mayor appointed Aldermen Ferwerda and Freund as a committee in charge of the public bathing beach regulations. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Regner, designating salaries as follows: Chief of Police $115.00, Policeman $100.00, Caretaker Streets and Alleys $105.00, with other . salaries of regular city employees the same as during the past year. Kamholz Motion by Bolger, seconded by Ferwerda to approve the appointments as made by the mayor. Motion carried. The following committees were appointed by the mayor for the ensuing year. Finance Bolger, Buss, Freund License Ferwerda, Bolger, Nye Streets & Alleys Regner, Freund, Nye Water & Sewer Buss, Regner, Freund Public Property Nye , Regner, Ferwerda Ordinance Freund, Nye, Buss Purchasing Ferwerda, Regner, Nye Building codes and permits Regner, Bolger, Ferwerda Motion by Freund, seconded by Buss, to approve the committee appointments as made by the mayor. Motion carried. Motion by Regner, seconded by Nye, to instruct Engineer Kasser's office to prepare specifications for construction of new pump house, one specification designating pump house complete and the other pump house complete with necessary power wiring, and advertise for sealed bids to be opened at a special meeting May 15th. kotion carried. Motion by Nye, seconded by Freund, to approve application of Clarence Niesen (Fox Pavilion) for Class "D" dance hall beer license . Motion carried. Motion by Buss, seconded by Ferwerda, to approve the following resolution: WHEREAS, the following duly designated Banks have furnished the CITY COUNCIL, City of McHenry tllintis, with copies of Bank statements as furnished to the Comptroller of Currency and the Auditor of Public Assounts as of 3-29-39, West McHenry State Bank. West McHenry, Illinois BE IT RESOLVED, after consideration of these statements, the Banks be continued as the Depositbvies for the Funds of ROBERT L.
