Aldermen present : Bolger, Buss, Ferwerda, Freund, Nye and Regner. Absent : None. ' Motion by Nye, seconded by Ferwerda, that the minutes of the last regular meeting be approved as read. Lotion carried. Motion by Freund, seconded by Regner, that the treasurer' s report be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Bolger, that the collector' s report be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Nye, seconded by Freund, that the clerk' s report be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Regner, seconded by Ferwerda, that the following bills be paid as approved by the finance committee . Motion carried. John B. Motion carried. / • Motion by Bolger, seconded by Buss , to pass the following resolution: WHEREAS, the following duly designated Banks have furnished the CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF MCHENRY, ILLINOIS , with copies of Bank statements as furnished to the Comptroller of Currency and the Auditor of Public Accounts as of 6-29-40, WEST MCHENRY STATE BANK, WEST MCHENRY, ILLINOIS . BE IT RESOLVED, after consideration of these statements, the Banks be continued as the Depositories for the Funds of Robert L. Weber, City Treasurer. A committee, representing St. Patrick' s Church of McHenry, requested the a Lendance of the City Council at the parish centennial celebration, September 22. A committee of business men sought and received the• approval of the city council in widening Riverside Drive in the block bounded by Pearl and Elm Streets .
