OCTOnER 7TH, 1940
The City Council met in regular monthly
meeting with Mayor Overton presiding. Aldermen present ,
Bolger, Ferwerda, rreund, Nye , Re''ner. Absent : Russ .
Motion by Nye, seconded by Freund, that the
minutes of the last meeting be approved as read. Motion
carried.
d tion by Forwerda, seconded by Regnor, that
the treasurer' s report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Reiner, seconded by Nye , that the
collectors report be approved as read. Motion carried.
lotion by Bolger, seconded by r reund, that
the clerk' s report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Renner, seconded by Ferwerda ,
to OK the action of the Fiance coy. ,ittee in tie payment
of $2910.89 from the Motor Fuel Tax fund to Suburban
Oil Company, said amount being the sum certified to date
on Country Club Road construction, known as protect #1T-
C .S . Motion carried.
Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Nye that
the following bills be paid as approved biT the finance
committee . Motion carried.

Motion by Bolger, seconded by Freund , to pass
resolution as read, authorizing the City Treasurer to with-
draw funds in the amount of (S719.87) now deposited in the
account of City of McHenry Bond and interest Retirement Fund
in the Ieirst National Bank of Woodstock. ,lotion carried.
Motion by Nye , seconded by Bolger, that a
letter signed by the mayor and attested to by the clerk be
set to C.H. JJuker, Supt . of Schools , and the trades class
mambers in recognition of their efforts in the City house
numbering project . _:Motion carried.
Motion by Renner, seconded by Ferwerda, to
adopt resolution as read, appropriatid4 $1000.00 M. F.T .
funds for the completion of road project 1T-C .S . _:lotion
carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Ferwerda,
to adjourn. :lotion carried.

Currency and the Auditor of Public Accounts as of 9-30-40

be continued as the. Depositories for the Funds of
