HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 06/02/1941 - City Council CITY C OUNC I L JUNE 2ND, 1941 The City Council met in regular monthly meeting with Mayor Overton presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Freund, Nye, Regner. Absent : Buss , Ferwerda. 1 Motion by Regner, seconded by Nye, that the minutes of the last regular meeting and special meeting held May 19th, 1941 , be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Nye, seconded by Bolger, that the treasurer's report be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Regner, seconded by Freund, that the collector's report be approved as read. Motion carried . Motion by Regner, seconded by Nye, to approve the action of the finance committee in payment of semi-annual interest in the amount of $545.00, on funding bonds , to American National Bank & Trust Company of Chicago. Motion carried. Motion by Bolger, seconded by Nye, to approve the bond of Jack Smith, Chief of Police , in the amount of $1000.00 with Wm. H. Althoff and Marie Schaeffer as sureties. Motion carried.
