OCTOBER 5TH, 1942
The City Council met in regular monthly meeting with
' Mayor Overton presiding. Aldermen present: Bolger, Buss, Ferwerda,
Freund, Nye. Absent : Regner.
Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Bolger, that the
minutes of the last regular meeting be approved as read. Motion
carried.
Motion by Nye, seconded by Freund, that the treasurer's
report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Ferwerda, that the
collector's report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Bolger, seconded by Nye, that the clerk' s
report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Mo; ion by Ferwerda, seconded by Nye, that the
following bills be paid as approved by the finance committee:

approve ordinance as read, vacating strip of land known as
East Street. Motion carried.
The advisability of municipal support of the McHenry
Public Library was presented for discussion.
