SEPTEMBER 7TH, 1943
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting
with Mayor Overton presiding. Aldermen present: Buss, Ferwerda,
' Freund, Nye, Regner, Tonyan. Absent: None.
Motion by Freund , seconded by Regner, that the minutes
of the last regular meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Nye, seconded by Ferwerda, that the treasurer's
report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Tonyan, to approve the
collector's report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Regner, seconded by Buss , that the clerk' s
report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Regner, seconded by Ferwerda, that the following
bills be paid as approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Regner, to approve the
application of Albert M. Budler for class " " alcoholic beverage
license covering a period from October 1, 1943 to April 30, 1944,
full annual license fee of $350.00 having been paid. Motion carried.
Motion by Ferwerda, seconded by Freund, to approve the
application of Harold Bell for class "A" tavern license.
Voting Yes: Freund, Nye, and Tonyan
Voting No: Buss, Ferwerda, and Regner
There being a tie vote, Mayor Overton cast the deciding
vote, rejecting the application.
Motion by Buss, seconded by Regner, to pay the McHenry
Band the sum of $750.00. Motion carried.
Motion by Buss, seconded by Nye, to adjourn. Motion
carried.
