HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 10/18/1943 - City Council COUNCIL ROOM OCTOBER 18TH, 1943 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Overton presiding. Aldermen present: Buss, Ferwerda, Freund, Nye, Tonyan. Absent : Regner. Motion by Buss, seconded by Ferwerda, to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. Motion carried. Motion by Nye, seconded by Freund, to pass resolution as read designating the West McHenry State Bank as depository of funds of the City Treasurer, Gerald J. Carey. Motion carried . A report from the Department of Public Health, State of Illinois, was read, stating that samples of city water recently examined were found safe for drinking purposes. An ordinance regarding a Police Signal System was tabled, pending examination by the City Attorney and estimate on cost. Motion by Buss , seconded by Tonyan, to adjourn. Motion carried. EARL R. IL OVERTON, MAYOR QC /94 8S15234 WHEREAS, the following duly designated Banks have furnished the City Council , City of McHenry, Illinois with copies of Bank statements as furnished to the Comptroller of Currency and the Auditor of rubiic Accounts as of 6-30-43 and 9-30-43 West McHenry State Bank BE IT RESOLVED, after consideration of these statements, the Banks be continued as the Depositories for the Funds of Gerald J.
