OCTOBER 2ND, 1944
In the absence of Mayor Overton the council members
selected Alderman Ferwerda as acting mayor to preside at the
0 meeting. Aldermen present : Buss, Ferwerda, Freund, Nye, Regner,
Tonyan. Absent: None.
Motion by Tonyan, seconded by Nye, that the minutes of
the last regular meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buss, seconded by Regner, that the treasurer's
report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Regner, seconded by Nye, that the collector's
report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Nye, seconded by Tonyan, that the clerk's report
be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Regner, seconded by Nye, that the following bills
be paid as approved by the finance committee :

SEPTEMBER 18TH, 1944
1111 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with
for Overton presiding. Aldermen present: Buss, Freund, Ferwerda,
Nye, Regner, Tonyan. Absent: None.
Motion by Regner, seconded by Ferwerda, that the minutes
of the last regular meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Monthly reports of various appointive offices were received
by the council.
Plans for the organization of a city library were withheld,
pending legal information.
n Motion by Freund, seconded by Ferwerda, to approve the
Class A Tavern license renewal for Albert M. Budler. Motion carried.
