Aldermen present: Althoff, Buss, Freund , Regner , Tonyan. Absent: None. Motion by Regner, seconded by Althoff , that the minutes of the last regular meeting be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Althoff, seconded by Buss, that the treasurer' s report for the month of April be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Freund, seconded by Regner, that the collector' s report for the month of April be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Buss, seconded by Tonyan, that the clerk's report for the month of April be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Freund, seconded by Buss, that the treasurer' s annual report be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Althoff, seconded by Regner, that the collector's annual report be approved as read. Motion carried. Motion by Buss, seconded by Tonyan, that the clerk' s annual report be approved as read. Power & light 45.18 Mayor Overton appointed Aldermen Buss , Freund and Regner to canvas the votes of the city election held April 15., 1947 . The committee reported the following results to the Council : v For Alderman, First Ward - Alfred Tonyan, 44 ; A. H. Mosher, 4 (Write-in) . For Alderman, Second Ward - Arnold Anderson, 41. - For Alderman, Third Ward - George J. Freund, 138; Charles D. Brown, 109. 10 For Police Magistrate - Larry J. Huck, 251. Motion by Regner, seconded by Freund, that Alfred Tonyan, having received the highest number of votes for Alderman in the first ward, be declared elected. Motion carried. Motion by Buss, seconded by Regner, that Arnold Anderson, having received the highest number of votes for Alderman in the second ward, be declared elected . Motion carried. Annual Meeting 4/21/47 - Page three Motion by Althoff , seconded by Buss, that George J. Freund, having received the highest number of votes for Alterman in the third ward, be declared elected . Motion carried . Motion by Freund, seconded by Regner, that Larry J. Huck, having received the highest number of votes for the office of Police Magistrate, be declared elected. Motion carried.
