SEPTEMBER 2ND, 1947
10 Due to the regular meeting date falling on a holiday
(Labor Day) the meeting was held the following evening as per
custom. All members were duly notified of the meeting date.
Mayor Overton presided at the meeting. Aldermen present: Regner,
Althoff, Anderson, Mix; George J. Freund and George P. Freund.
Absent: Tonyan.
Motion by Regner, seconded by Althoff , that the minutes
of the last regular meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by George J. Freund, seconded by Anderson, that
the treasurer' s report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by George P. Freund, seconded by Althoff, that
the collector' s report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by George J. Freund, that
the clerk's report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Regner, that the
following bills be paid as approved the finance committee:

Motion by Althoff,s,A,cp94e by George P. Freund, to take
option from A.. P. Freund/on approxidttely four acres of land, as
described in plat, for the purpose of establishing a municipal
athletic field--purchase price to be $2500.00, payment at time of
option to be $300.00. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Regner, to authorize the
Water and Sewer Committee to proceed with plans and suitable
arrangements in the matter of extending the city sewer main South
from John Street on Front Street (Illinois Highway No. 31) . Motion
carried.
Motion by George P. Freund, seconded by Althoff, to
adjourn. Motion carried.
