MARCH 6, 1950
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Althoff, Anderson, Freund, Vycital.
Absent: None.

Motion by Althoff, seconded by Freund, that the minutes of the last
meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Vycital, that the treasurer's report
be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Althoff, that the collector's report
be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Vycital, seconded by Freund, that the clerk's report be
approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson seconded by Althoff, that the following bills
be paid as approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Althoff, seconded by Anderson, to approve the application
of the local American Legion Post #491 to hold carnival on the Legion grounds
July 1, 2, 3 and 4th, 1950, with understanding that grounds be properly policed.
Motion carried.
Motion by Althoff, seconded by Vycital, that the chairman of the
Streets and Alleys Committee be authorized to order proper signs for regulation
of parking on the Green Street-Elgin Road section from Waukegan Street to John
Street and adjoining portion of Main Street. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Althoff, to hold Special Election on
April 28th, 1950 to fill vacancies in the office of City Treasurer,one Alderman
in Ward No. 1 and one Alderman in Ward No. 3. Motion carried.
Motion by Althoff, seconded by Vycital, to adjourn. Motion carried.
