APRIL 26, 1951
The City Council met for the annual meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Althoff, Anderson, Freund, Rothermel, Thennes
and Vycital. Absent: None.
SOMotion by Anderson, seconded by Rothermel, that the minutes of the
last meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Althoff, seconded by Thennes, that the treasurer's report
for the month of April be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Vycital, seconded by Freund, that the collector's report
for the month of April be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Anderson, that the clerk's report
for the month of April be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Anderson, that the treasurer's
annual report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Althoff, seconded_by Freund, that the collector's annual
report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Vycital, that the clerk's annual
report be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Rothermel, that the following bills
be paid as approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Freund, seconded by Althoff, to approve request of American
Legion Post #491 for permit to sponsor carnival on their grounds June 30, July 1,
2, 3 and 4, 1951. Motion carried.

1111 John F. Buckle, Jr., 149 votes
Motion by Vycital, seconded by Rothermel, that Edward J. Thennes,
having received the highest number of votes for Alderman in Ward No. 1, be
declared elected. Motion carried.
Motion by Althoff, seconded by Vycital, that Arnold Anderson, having
received the highest number 6ftvotes for Alderman in Ward No. 2, be declared
elected. Motion carried.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Thennes, that George J. Freund,
having received the highest number of votes for Alderman in Ward No. 3, be
declared elected. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Freund, that Larry J. Huck, having
received the highest number of votes for Police Magistrate, be declared elected.
Motion carried.
Motion by Althoff, seconded by Freund, to adjourn. Motion carried.
