APRIL 21, 1952
The City Council met in regular semimonthly meeting with Mayor
Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Althoff, Anderson, Freund, Rothermel
Thennes, Vycital. Absent: None.
Motion by Althoff, seconded by Thennes, to approve the minutes
of the last meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Althoff, seconded by Freund, to adopt the following
resolution:
"Resolved that the kennel facilities of Dr. H. S. Pike,
Route #31, McHenry, Illinois be designated as the official dog
pound of the City of McHenry and the same is hereby designated
as the official pound through the authority vested in the City
of McHenry under Paragraph 1, Section 412, Article 2, Chapter 16
of the Municipal Code of the City of McHenry.+
Motion carried.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Anderson, to pass ordinance,
as read, repealing an ordinance passed on the 5th day of November, 1951
by which a part of Venice Avenue, City of McHenry was vacated. Motion
carried.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Vycital, to pass and approve
ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance granting to the Illinois Bell Telephone
Company, its lessees, successors and assigns, certain rights in the City
of McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois". Motion carried.
Motion by Thennes, seconded by Vycital, to designate Tuesday,
April 29, 8:00 P.M. as time of Annual Meeting for the City of McHenry
for the current fiscal year. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson seconded by Freund, to adjourn. Motion
carried.
