JANUARY 4, 1954
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Anderson, Buchert, Johnson, Freund, Thennes.
Absent: Rothermel.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Thennes, to approve the minutes of the
last meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Johnson, to approve the treasurer's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Thennes, to approve the collector's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Buchert, to approve the clerk's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Johnson, to pay the following bills as
approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Freund, seconded by Buchert, to approve plans and specifications
for the installation of a system of ornamental street lights in the City of McHenry
and to instruct the City Clerk to advertise for bids to be received February 8, 1954
at 7:30 P.M. Motion carried.
