MARCH 1ST, 1954
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Anderson, Buchert, Freund, Johnson, Rothermel,
Thennes. Absents None.
I/1 Motion by Thennes, seconded by Buchert, to approve the minutes of the last
meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Johnson, to approve the treasurer's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Rothermel, to approve the collector's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Freund, to approve the clerk's report as
read. Motion carried.
Motion by Rothermel, sec^bnded by Buchert, to pay the following bills as
approved by the finance committee:

RESOLUTION
The tenoning resolution Iles presented by Alderman Thennes and
seconded by Alderman Johnson , moved its adoption and that it be incorporated
in the minutes of this meeting and a copy be presented to Mr. C. R. Dukor. Upon
roll call*, the notion vas carried unanimously.
MUM, Mr. C. H. Dukes has spent more than thirty years in our city
as an educator, and
WHZRIAS, as Superintendent of Schools, he has (tendentious]; guided
the growth and progress of our school system, and
WHEREAS, his executive ability has been with fairness and a
desire to aid and assist, and
WHEREAS* his influence, both in teaching and by example, has reflected
aam ► benefits to the betterment of our comehnity,
NOW, TORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
MsHenry extend congratulations and sincere appreciation in behalf of the citizen
of McHenry for the aforementioned services."
