HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 07/06/1954 - City Council COUNCIL ROOM JUIY 6, 1954 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund presiding. Aldermen presents Anderson, Buchert, Freund, Johnson, Rothermel, Thennes. Absents None, Notion by Buchert, seconded by Rothermel, to approve the minutes of the last meeting as read. Motion carried. Motion by Freund, seconded by Buchert, to approve the treasurer's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Thennes, seconded by Freund, to approve the collector's report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Mbthermel, seconded by Buchert, to approve the clerk's report as read. Motion carried. A petition from businessmen and property owners on Riverside Drive regarding request for reserved truck parking space for F.M. Radio and Television, .was read. Motion by Johnson, seconded by Thennes, to refer the above mentioned petition to the City Attorney with request that he review the Parking Meter Ordinance for ' recommendations regarding procedure. Voting "yes"s Anderson, Buchert, Freund, Johnson, Themes. Voting "no"s Rothermel. Motion carried. Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Buchert, to grant permission to the McHenry Chamber of Commerce to use the grounds at the City Beach and City Park during the 1954 Annual Marine Day activities. Motion carried. Motion by Buchert, seconded by Freund, to sell old atteet light poles, complete with globes and bulbs, at a unit price of $8.50 each. Motion carried.
