NOVEMBER 15, 1954
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Anderson, Buchert, Freund, Johnson, Rothermel,
Thennes. Absent: None.

Motion by Buchert, seconded
last meeting as read. Motion carried.by Rothermel, to approve the minutes of the
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Freund, to pay the American National Bank
and Trust Company funding bond due December 1, 1954 in the amount of $3000, plus #1(
interest of $60 and service charge of $5. Motion carried. 11/41�
Mayor Freund appointed Norbert A. Yegge as a city police officer.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Freund, to approve the appointment of
Norbert A. Yegge as made by the Mayor. Upon roll call the following vote was
recorded: Voting "Yes": Buchert, Freund, Rothermel.
Voting "No": Anderson, Thennes, Johnson.
There being a tie vote, Mayor Freund voted "Yes" and the motion was
declared carried.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Johnson, to refer letter from the Kent
Corporation regarding approval of streets in Cooney Heights, to the city engineer.
Motion carried.
Motion by- Anderson, seconded by Freund, to close the bridge spanning
Boone Creek at a point of northerly extension of North Avenue and erect proper
signs in the interest of public safety. Motion carried.
Motion by Freund, seconded by Buchert, to adjourn. Motion carried.
