MARCH 7TH, 1955
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Anderson, Buchert, Freund, Johnson, Rothermel, Thennes.
Absent: None.
Motion by Anderson, seconded by Buchert, to approve the minutes of the last
meeting as read. Motion carried.
' Motion by Freund, seconded by Rothermel, to approve the treasurer's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Johnson, to approve the collector's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Ihennes, seconded by Anderson, to approve the clerk's report as
read. Motion carried.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Buchert, to pay the following bills as

Buchert, seconded by Rothermel, to notify the Chicago & Northwestern
Railroad Company as to condition of crossing at Waukegan Road (I11. Rt. #120) and request
immediate repairs. Motion carried.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the community has chosen to publicly honor one of its
oldest and most beloved citizens, and,
WHEREAS, Martin E. Conway has endeared himself to young and old
in our community, and,
I WHEREAS, his kindly spirit has made an indelible record in the
history of McHenry,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of McHenry extend congratulations on this occasion in behalf of the citizens
of McHenry and that this resolution be incorporated in the minutes of this
meeting and a copy presented to Martin E. Conway.
