TUESDAY, JULY 5TH, 1955
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Gausden, Rothermel. Absent:
Buchert, Johnson.
111 Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to approve the minutes of the
last regu1a meetingband,fib- speci.'iVmeeting held June 24, 1955. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Rothermel, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to approve the collector's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Gausden, to approve the clerk's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Gausden, to pay the following bills
as approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Brown, seconded by Antonson, to instruct the City Engineer to
establish sidewalk grade lines on East Elm Street. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden seconded by Rothermel, to pass and approve amendment
to Daylight Saving Time Ordinance, extending one month in the fall. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Antonson, to adopt resolution pertaining
one-year construction for street improvement (SBI20) from Ill. 31 (South) to Ill. 31
(North). Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Gausden, to adopt resolution pertaining
Long Range construction program for street improvement. Motion carried.
The Clerk was instructed to contact the City Engineer to secure estimate
for construction of curbs and gutters on South Riverside Drive.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to approve the application of
the McHenry Chamber of Commerce for Marine Day Carnival permit. Motion carried.
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Gausden, to purchase sewer-rodding
equipment from Weber Plumbing & Heating Co. for the sum of $1500.00. Motion carried.
