AUGUST 15, 1955
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Gausden,
Rothermel. Absent: Johnson.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Antonson, that the minutes of the
11110 last regular meeting and the special meeting held August 8, 1955 be approved
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, to abandon proposal to
• drill water well near site of present pump house and concentrate on existing
well in Cooney Heights and authorize Joseph H. Huemann to secure price for
acidizing well at Cooney Heights. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Rothermel, to pay the McHenry State
Bank $2000.00 for, sewer bond due August 15, 1955 plus $io.00 interest. Motion
carried.

The following proposal bids were received for cleaning and painting
standpipe:
Speelmon Elevated Tank Service - $835.00
Chicago Tank & Bridge Co. - $2 L86.00
Motion by Rothermel, seconded by Antonson, to enter into contract
with Speelmon Elevated Tank Service as per proposal submitted. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson to �A.v,D

sum of
$933.66 covering statements submitted. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Brown, to adjourn. Motion carried.
