DECEMBER 5, 1955
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor
Freund presiding. Aldermen presents Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Gausden,
Johnson. Absent: None.
. Motion by Buchert, seconded by Brown, to approve the minutes of
the last meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Gausden, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried. •
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to approve the collector's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to approve the clerk's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Brown, to pay the following bills
as appioved by the finance committee:

Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to grant request of Harold Alm
for leave of absence from his position of Chief of Police due to ill health.
Motion carried.
Mayor Freund appointed Harold L. Bell as Police Officer and upon motion by
Gausden, seconded by Antonson, the appointment was unanimously approved.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, to approve Mayor Freund's appoint-
ment of the following named as auxilliary police: Harry Conway, Robert Lamz,
Stanley Diedrich and George Krickl. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Buchert, to purchase 72 ft. Swenson
Self-Feeding Material Spreader as per quotation of $377.50 plus installation
costs. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Brown, to proceed with arrangements for
securing site in Cooney Heights for development of water well. Motion carried.
Motion by Johnson, seconded by Buchert, to pay Suburban Oil Company bill
in the amount of $123.75 from the general fund and the contract amount of $3904.40
(Sec. 4 C.S.) from Motor Fuel Tax Funds when remittance to cover is received from
the state department. Motion carried.
