HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 12/19/1955 - City Council REGULAR MEETING DECEMBER 19, 1955 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund presiding. Aldermen presents Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon, Gausden, Kauss. Absent: None. IlkMotion by Antonson, seconded by Gausden, to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held December 5, 1955 and special meeting held December 7, 1955. Motion carried. Notion by Gausden, seconded by Kausa to purchase five (5) police coats, said coats to remain the property of the City of McHenry. Motion carried. Motion by Brown, seconded by Buchert, to approve plans submitted for enlargement of the sewage disposal plant and, subject to approval of state department, receive bids on Monday, January 23, 1956 at 8 P.H. at the City Hall, McHenry. Motion carried. • Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to approve payments due under Social Security Act pertaining Paul Yanda as director of the McHenry Band. Motion carried. Mayor Freund made the following Standing Committee appointments for the remainder of the current fiscal year. Finance - Brown, Gausden, Antonson License - Buchert, Dixon, Antonson Street and Alley - Buchert, Antonson, Dixon Water and Sewer - Gausden, Kauss, Dixon Sidewalks - Buchert, Brown, Antonson Public Property - Antonson, Brown, Buchert Ordinance - Brown, Dixon, Gausden Purchasing - Brown, Gausden, Dixon Building Codes and Permits - Kane., Gausden, Dixon Band - Antonson, Buchert, Brown Board of Local Improvements - Geo. P. Freund, Buchert, Brown Athletic Field - Brown, Dixon, Buchert Motion by Buchert, seconded by Gausden, to approve the Standing Committee appointments as made by Mayor Freund. Motion carried. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to purchase Li-drawer Fire-File, Shaw-Walker model, through Harold A. Mauer, representative. Motion carried. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Kauss, to pass resolution adopting prevailing hourly.wage scale pertaining proposals for addition to sewage treatment plant.
