JANUARY 3RD, 1956
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon, Gausden, Kauss.
Absent: None.
I/1 Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, that the minutes of the last
meeting be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Brown, that the treasurer's report be
approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Kauss, that the collector's report be
approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, that the clerk's report be approved
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Kauss, that the following.bills be paid
as approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to pay Green Street Bridge Bonds (due
January 1, 1956) in the following amounts:
General Fund - Bond Account - Bonds $4000.00
M.F.T. Account - 2B-CS - Bonds $3000.00
M.F.T. Account- 2B-CS - Interest $308.75
Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Gausden to pay Street Lighting bonds and
interest (due January 1, 1956) in the following amounts:
Bonds - $3000.00
1110 Interest - $962.50
Service charge - $8.00
Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to authorize City Attorney John E. Loose
to prodeed with revision of the Municipal Code. Motion carried.

municipalities. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Buchert, to adjourn. Motion carried.

RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of McHenry, Illinois
that the prevailing hourly wage scale for McHenry County, Illinois, as
listed below, be adopted for the purpose of incorporating said wage scale
in proposals and contract for proposed addition to existing sewage disposal
plant in the City of McHenry.
110 Building & Common Labor $2.40 per hour
Brick Layers $3.25 per hour
Carpenters $3.15 per hour
Cement Finishers $3.25 per hour
Electrical Workers $3.25 per hour
Engineers $3.30 per hour
Iron Workers $3.25 per hour
Painters $2.80 per hour
Plumbers $3.414 per hour
Sheet Metal Workers $3.18 per hour
Steam Fitters $3.44 per hour
Truck Drivers $2.35 per hour
The above rates are for a 40 hour week and any over-time shall be
based on the rates established for the different classifications.

resolution passed by the Council of the City of McHenry, County of McHenry,
State of Illinois.
