HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 01/23/1956 - City Council SPECIAL MEETING JANUARY 23, 1956 A special meeting of the City Council of McHenry was held at 8 P.M., Monday, January 23, 1956 for the purpose of receiving bids on addition to the sewage disposal plant and other business which might come before the Council. 10 Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon, Gausden, Kauss. Absent: None. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to open bids presented on proposed sewer plant addition. Motion carried. The following bids were read and referred to the City Engineer, pending any further action at the regular meeting of the Council to be held Monday, February 6, 1956: Great Lakes Plumbing & Heating $266,000.00 Du Pons Construction Co. $269,000.00 Mechanical Contractors, Inc. $269,500.00 Tonyan Construction Co. $277,990.00 George Scheflow $293,500.00 Motion by Antonson, seconded by Kauss, to request and authorize City Attorney John E. Looze to represent the City of McHenry in opposing petition of Joseph Wetzler for reclassification of property south of McHenry, zoning hearing to be held at Crystal Lake Tuesday, January 24, 1956.
