FEBRUARY 6TH, 1956
The City Council mkt in regular seanionthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon, Gausden, Kauss.
Absent: None.
1110 Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, that the minutes of the last
regular meeting and the special meetings held January 23, 1956 and January 28, 1956
be approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, to approve the treasurer's
report as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Dixon, to. approve the collector's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Kauss, to approve the clerk's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Dixon, to pay the following bills as
approved by the finance committees'

Motion by Brown, seconded by Antonson, to accept proposal submitted by
Tonyan Construction Company in the amount of $277,990.00 for the construction of
Sewage Treatment Plant Additions. Voting "les": Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon,
Gausden, Kuass. Voting "No"s None. Motion carried.

Motion by Antonson, seconded by Huciert, to proceed with test well
on Lot No. 16 Cooney Heights at cost of $2.145 per foot as per proposal submitted
by Engineer Robert Anderson. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, to authorize W. A. Rakow, City
Engineer, to secure permit from the State of Illinois Division of Waterways for
replacing the present siphon with a gravity 16" sewer across Boone Creek. Motion
carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to authorize W. A. Rakow, City
Engineer, to proceed with engineering plans and estimate to construct storm sewer,
curb and gutter, and surfacing South Riverside Drive, South Park Street and South
Court Street. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Buchert, to adjourn. Motion carried.
