FEBRUARY 20, 1956
The city Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon, Gausden, Nauss.
Absent: None.

Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to approve the minutes of the last
meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to pay the following for census
enumeration: Dolores C. Bolger, $49.14
Elizabeth Gende $72.95
Hermenia Kinsala $12.72
Rose Ann Walsh $24.02
Helen M. Wegener $34.69 Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, to grant requestsconduct of
McHenry
fund
County Chapter, Illinois Association for the Crippled, Inc.
drive in the City of McHenry, March 24, 1956. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Gausden, to purchase trousers, shirts,
caps and ties for four auxiliary policemen, said equipment to remain the property
of the City of McHenry. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, to approve request of Illinois Bell
Telephone Company to perform underground cable work from Green Street westerly
along Elm Street, Bauer Avenue and Waukegan Road in accordance with specifications
and plans submitted. Motion carried.
Upon motion by Brown, seconded by Buchert, and unanimously approved, the
meeting was adjourned. ..

WHEREAS, the people of the City of McHenry and surrounding
area are gathering to honor a beloved citizen, and,
WHEREAS, John Dreymiller has endeared himself to youhg and
old in all groups, and,
WHEREAS, he has given his time and energy to the welfare of
many people in our cammmityâ–º without seeking personal gain,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Council
of McHenry extend sincere congratulations and appreciation on this
occasion in behalf of the citizens of the City of McHenry.
