AUGUST 6, 1956
The City Council met in regular semi monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen presents Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Gausden, Kauss.
Absents Dixon.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Brown, that the minutes of the last regular
meeting and the special meeting held July 23, 1956 be approved as read. Motion
carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Gausden, that the treasurer's report be
approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Kauss, that the collector's report be
approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, that the clerk's report be
.approved as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Buchert, to pay the following bills as
approved by the finance committee:

Motion by Antonson, seconded by Kauss, to approve zoning reclassification
in the petition of Robert A. Stueben and Georgia E. Stueben from "B", business
district, to "I-1", light industry, as per recommendation of the Zoning Board of
Appeals following hearing held July 20, 1956. Motion carried.
Motion by Kauss, seconded by Gausden, to grant variation in zoning classi-
fication to R. J. Miller in the matter of petition heard by the Zoning Board of
Appeals July 20, 1956, said variation to grant parking only on lots described in
petition for reclassification.

Upon roll call the following aldermen voted "Yes": Antonson, Buchert,
Gausden, Kauss.
Voting "No": Brown.
Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Kauss, to advertise for bids for installation
of. Stop and Go lights at the corners of Riverside Drive and Elm Street, Green
Street and Elm Street, Richmond Road and Elm Street, following preparation of
specifications by the City Engineer. Motion carried.
Motion by Buche'ty .seconded by Brown, to pay the McHenry Band fund the #11/
sum of $934.09. Motion carried.
Motion by Kauss, seconded by Antonson, to adjourn. Motion carried.
