HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - 09/17/1956 - City Council REGULAR MEETING SEPT EMBER 17, 1956 The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon, 111/1 Gausden, Kauss. Absent: None. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Kauss, to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting and the special meeting of September 10, 1956 as read. Motion carried. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Dixon, to repeal ordinance governing all-night parking on city streets during certain months and to pass and approve amended ordinance extending regulations throughout entire year. Motion carried. Motion by Brown, seconded by Buchert, to pass and approve resolution accepting annexation of territory as per petition and designated as Edgebrook Heights Addition to McHenry, Unit No. 1. Motion carried. Motion by Antonson, seconded by Gausden, to pass and approve resolution pertaining plat of Edgebrook Heights Addition to McHenry, Unit No.l. Motion carried. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to approve minor design changes at the McHenry Sewage Treatment Plant as outlined in letter on file, dated September 10, 1956, from Tonyan Construction Co. to W. A. Rakow and Associates, City Engineers. Motion carried. Motion by Buchert, seconded by Dixon, to approve payment of $76.90 to Suburban Oil Company, due on Millstream Park Road Improvements. Motion carried. Motion by Brown, seconded by Antonson, to allow travel expense in the amount of $150.00 for each council member attending the Illinois Municipal League Convention in Springfield, Illinois starting November 11, 1956. Motion carried. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, to pass resolution approving petition of Illinois Bell Telephone Company for reclassification of property at corner of Park and Pearl Streets, as described in petition, from "R-2" Residence District to "B" Business District as recommended by the Zoning Board of Appeals.
