NOVEMBER 1, 1956
The City Council met in the City Hall at 8 P.M., Thursday, November 1,
1956 with Mayor Freund presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Buchert, Dixon,
Gausden, Kauss. Absent: Brown.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss hazardous driving conditions
11 due to large delivery trucks being parked in the business section on Green Street.
Property owners and business people from the Green Street area, having
been notified, were in attendance at the meeting to assist in finding a solution
to the problem.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Buchert, that the City Council proceed
with engineering to determine the possibilities of providing alleys for delivery
of merchandise in the Green Street section and to meet with the property owners
when proposed plan is completed. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Antonson, to adjourn. Motion carried.
