APRIL 1ST, 1957
The City Council met in regular semi-monthly meeting with Mayor Freund
presiding. Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon, Gausden. Absent:
None. •
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to approve the minutes of the last

meeting as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Dixon, to approve the treasurer's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Buehert, seconded by Gausden, to approve the collector's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Dixon, to approve the clerk's report
as read. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Dixon, to pay the following bills as approved
by the finance committee:

Motion by Buchert, seconded by Antonson, to pay W. A. Rakow and Associates
the sum of $474.00 for engineering services in connection with Y.F.T. section 6-TI CS
(Traffic Signals). Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Antonson, to enter into contract with W. A.
Rakow and Associates to perform Motor Fuel Tax engineering services, contract ex-
tending from May 1, 1957 to April 30, 1958. Motion carried.
Motion by Antonson, seconded by Buchert, to authorize issuance of check
covering Bodily Injury claim of Patrick Moffett, a minor, vs. City of McHenry in sip'
the amoukt of $1500.00 plus $454.30 medical expenses. Motion carried.
Motion by Brown, seconded by Buchert, to pass and approved ordinance granting
- reclassification of property to Overton Cadillac-Pontiac Co., petitioners, as recommended
by the Zoning Board of Appeals following hearing March 29, 1957. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Antonson, to hold the annual meeting for the
current fiscal year April 25th, 1957 at 8 P.M.. Motion carried.
Motion by Gensden, seconded by Buchert, to direct a letter to the subdivider
of Cooney Heights regarding request of property owners for inatallation of fire hydrants.
Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Dixon, to pass and approve amendment to
ordinance pertaining excavations in public streets, alleys, sidewalks or other public
places, requiring posting of $1000.00 bond. Motion carried.
Motion by Gausden, seconded by Dixon, to pass and approve ordinance
authorizing the Mayor and City Council to secure the services of an attorney
' to draft a new City Code. Motion carried.
Motion by Buchert, seconded by Brown, to adjourn. Motion carried.
