Aldermen present: Antonson, Brown, Buchert, Dixon, Gausden. Absent: None. Motion by Brown, seconded by Buchert, to approve the minutes of the • last regular meeting as read. Motion carried. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Dixon, to approve the treasurer's report for the month of April as read. Motion carried. Motion by Antonson, seconded by Buchert, to approve the collector's report for the month of April as read. Motion carried. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Brown, to approve the clerk's report for the month of April as read. Motion carried. Motion by Gausden, seconded by Dixon, to approve the treasurer's annual report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Brawn, seconded by Antonson, to approve the collector's annual report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Dixon, seconded by Buchert, to approve the clerk's annual report as read. Motion carried. Motion by Dixon, seconded by Buchert, to pay bills submitted by Lakeland Construction Company in the amounts of $3170.98 and $581.58 for sewer construction at Wood Street location, Cooney Heights. Motion carried. Mayor Freund appointed Aldermen Brown, Antonson and Buchert to canvas the ballots cast at City Election held April 16, 1957. The canvassing board reported the following votes cast and recorded: George P. Freund - 788 votes for Mayor Edward J. Gausden - 448 votes for Mayor Earl R. Walsh - 1066 votes for City Clerk Thomas F. Bolger - 1020 votes for City Treasurer • Edward J. Thennes - 362 votes for Alderman of Ward No. 1 Edward L. Buchert - 103 votes for Alderman of Ward No. 1 William J. Bolger - 393 votes for Alderman of Ward No. 1 (2 year term Richard J. Smith - 89 votes for Alderman of Ward No. 1 to fill Vacancy) Theodore N. Pitzen - 292 votes for Alderman of Ward No. 2 Glenn D. Dixon - 176 votes for Alderman of ward No. 2 Warren S. Holly - 182 votes for Alderman of Ward No. 3 William H. Goettsche - 69 votes for Alderman of Ward No. 3 Donald Howard - 581 votes for Police Magistrate Edgar Landgren - 393 votes for Police Magistrate Harold Alm - 249 votes for Police Magistrate Motion by Brown, seconded by Antonson, that the following named, having . received the highest number of votes for their respective offices, be declared elected: George P.
